FAQs
It’s my first class. What can I expect?
What to bring. Grip socks are required for all classes at Urban Core for your safety and sanitary purposes. Don’t have any? Don’t worry, we have them available for purchase at our front desk. We also highly recommend that you bring a water bottle for your workout. No worries if you forget on, we have them available for purchase as well! There is also a water bottle refill station in the studio. And if you need to freshen up after your workout, we have bathrooms, a shower room, cold peppermint towels, and plenty of essentials to freshen up after your class!
Come early. Please arrive to the studio 15-10 minutes prior to the start time of your class. Upon your arrival, we will get you checked in, have you fill out a waiver form, and give you a tour of the studio prior to getting you on your Megaformer! No worries if you have never been on a Megaformer before, your instructor, or front desk, will give you a tour of the Megaformer before your class starts.
Expect some confusion. When taking your first Lagree class, it is normal to not understand all the cues and names of the moves. However, during the workout, you will be moved through a sequence of slow and controlled movements, as well as fast transitions from one exercise to the next. The fast transitions allow you to maintain an elevated heart rate. Also, be patient with yourself as you learn the Lagree language. Our instructors will help you throughout the workout, and with the class size being a maximum of 12 people, this allows for a ton of personal attention.
Where do I park?
What is your cancellation or no show policy?
Here at Urban Core, we have a 12 hour cancellation policy. If you cancel your class less than 12 hours from the start time of the class, you will be charged a $10 late cancellation fee. However, if you cancel your class more than 12 hours from the start time, you will not be charged a late cancellation fee. Lastly, the class credit that was being used for your class will be returned back to your account for future use.
If you were to not show up to your class, you will be charged a $15 no show fee. But, we understand that life happens and emergencies occur. If you are unable to make it to your class, please contact the studio to inform us that you will not be making it to class. Also, please cancel your class as soon as possible if you are sure that you will be unable to make it to allow people on the waitlist to get into the class.
How does the waitlist work?
With our classes being a maximum of 12 people, some class times fill up faster than others. If there is a class time that you would prefer and it is full, we highly recommend that you add yourself to the waitlist. But, you can only get on the waitlist for a class if you have bough a drop-in class, membership, or class package. If you do not get off of the waitlist, the class credit will be returned to your account. And if you get off of the waitlist and added to the class, you will receive an email or text confirmation (receiving an email or text will depend on your notification settings).
Please be mindful that all of our classes have a 12-hour cancellation policy. If you’re added to the class from the waitlist at the last minute, the 12-hour cancellation policy still applies, However, if you no longer want to attend the class and you’re still on the waitlist, you will need to remove yourself from the waitlist at least 12 hours prior to the start time of the class. Lastly, if you are added to the class and do not late cancel or no show to your class, your account will be charged a $10 late cancellation fee or a $15 no show fee.

I’m afraid of looking like I don’t know what I am doing- do I need a private lesson before a group class?
It is normal, and it is okay, to not understand all of the cues or names of the exercises during your first class. Be patient with yourself as you learn the Lagree language! Our instructors will help you out throughout the class as the class size allows for personal attention.
I haven’t worked out in a while- will I be able to do it?
Lagree is a very efficient and effective way to burn fat while building muscle. We believe in learning by doing – and there’s no better way than to jump right in and take a class. Our instructors will offer modifications and challenges throughout the class for all fitness levels.
Is it safe if I am pregnant or newly postpartum?
Please consult with your doctor first prior to taking a class with us. But, if you are a regular Urban Core client, you are more than welcome to continue taking classes while pregnant and our instructors will assist you to ensure you are modifying correctly. We believe new and expecting moms deserve extra love and we promise to give it to you!
Do you offer child care?
We do not offer child care here in the studio.
Is there an age requirement for class?
All clients must be at least 16 years old. If you are under the age of 18, we will need a parent signature in order for you to take a class with us.
