It’s my first class. What can I expect?
What to bring. Grip socks are required on the Mega for your safety. Don’t have any? Don’t worry, we offer them in the studio for purchase. Bring a water bottle or buy one from us. We have bathrooms, one shower and plenty of essentials to freshen up after class.
Come early. Please arrive 15 minutes before your class starts for an overview of the Megaformer, and for a chance to ask any questions you might have. You will store your belongings in the lockers available for all of our clients.
Expect some confusion. Its normal to not understand all the cues and move names during your first class. During the workout, you will be moved through a sequence of slow and controlled movements, as well as fast transitions from one exercise to the next allowing you to maintain an elevated heart rate. Be patient with yourself as you learn the workout. Our instructors will assist you and our small class size will allow for lots of personal attention.
Come back. Your first few classes will be challenging regardless of your fitness abilities. Consistency is key. It won’t get easier. Expect to get stronger.
What are your covid-19 precautious?
Masks are required at all times until clients are on their machine, then each client can decide to take their mask off or leave it on during the workout. Our instructor wears a face shield throughout the entire class and is not doing any hands-on corrections, as they typically would during a lagree class. We use a hospital grade sanitizing solution on each machine between every class, and a disinfecting wipe that each client uses on their own to clean their machine. The workout is done entirely on the machine, and they’re spaced more than 6 feet apart. We are taking this very seriously to ensure you have a safe yet effective workout.
Where do I park?
Parking will be located in the public parking lot directly behind our building. You will enter our building through the main doors and take the elevator or stairs up to the second floor.
What time should I arrive to class?
We ask that you arrive at least 5 min prior to class start time and 15 minutes prior to class if you are a new client. New clients will ne given an overview of the megaformer and what to expect during class.
What should I bring to class?
We will require everyone to wear grip socks during class. Don’t worry, if you forget yours we will have them for purchase at our studio. Bring a water bottle, but we will also have water bottles for sale at the front desk and in the blended bar. Towels will be provided.
What is your cancellation or no show policy?
We have a 12 hour cancellation policy for full class refund. If canceled within 12 hours prior to your class a fee of $10 will be charged to your card and the class credit will go back to your account for future use.
We understand life happens, if you choose to cancel or not show up within 2 hours of your class starting class you will be charged $15 and you will still receive your class credit back to your account. If you know you are unable to make the class please cancel as soon as possible so we can allow the space to open up to other clients.
How does the waitlist work?
If a class you’d like to take is full, we definitely recommend putting yourself on the waitlist. In order to do so, you must purchase a class or package. If you do not get a spot in the class, the class credit will be returned to your account. If a spot opens, you will be added to the class and receive an email or text confirmation (depending on your notification settings).
All of our classes have an 12-hour cancellation policy. If you’re added to a class from the waitlist at the last minute, please know the 12-hour cancellation still applies. If you no longer want a spot in the class, you will need to remove yourself from the waitlist at least 12 hours prior to the class. If you are added to the class and do not remove yourself in time, your account will be charged a $10 late cancellation fee and you will lose your class. If you have an unlimited membership and cancel within the 12 hour cancellation period, you’ll be charged a $10 late cancellation fee. If you are added to the class and you do not late cancel and do not show up for your class, your account will be charged a $15 no show fee and you will lose your class. If you have an unlimited membership and do not show up for your class, your account will be charged a $15 no show fee. There are no exceptions to this rule.
